- Whether a page is indexed, when Google last crawled it, and any mobile or rich result issues

What Sam can do in Google Search Console
- Submit a sitemap. Asks you first.

Anything marked Asks you first pauses and waits for you to confirm before it runs.
What Sam can't do in Google Search Console yet
- Verify that you own a property. Search Console needs you to do that step yourself.
Connect Google Search Console
- →The Google account that owns your Search Console properties.
Step 1 - Open the integrations marketplace
Select Connect your tools at the bottom of the left sidebar, above your profile. Search for Google Search Console or find it under Browse Integrations.
Step 2 - Sign in and approve
Select Connect. Sam shows what it will be able to do, then sends you to Google Search Console's own sign-in page. Sign in with the account you want Sam to work in and approve the access.
Step 3 - Name it and choose who can use it
Give the connection a name, choose who on your team can use it, and select Finish setup. It moves to your Connected tab.
When you connect, you may see a screen of checkboxes, and some are easy to scroll past. Sam can only do what you allow. If you untick one, the matching actions in the list above will fail with a permission error.
If Sam says it can't reach Google Search Console later on, see When Sam can't reach one of your tools.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Sam not showing any data for a property I added?
A new property has no data until you verify ownership in Search Console. Sam can add the property, but the verification step is yours.
Can Sam tell me why a page isn't in Google?
Sam can inspect the page and show you its index status, the last crawl and any coverage problems Google reports. That usually points to the fix.
