Connect Vimeo

What you'll need
  • →A Vimeo account you can sign in to. Sam works in the account you sign in with.

Step 1 - Open the integrations marketplace

Select Connect your tools at the bottom of the left sidebar, above your profile. Search for Vimeo or find it under Browse Integrations.

Step 2 - Sign in and approve

Select Connect. Sam shows what it will be able to do, then sends you to Vimeo's own sign-in page. Sign in with the account you want Sam to work in and approve the access.

Step 3 - Name it and choose who can use it

Give the connection a name, choose who on your team can use it, and select Finish setup. It moves to your Connected tab.

Leave every permission ticked

When you connect, you may see a screen of checkboxes, and some are easy to scroll past. Sam can only do what you allow. If you untick one, the matching actions in the list above will fail with a permission error.

If Sam says it can't reach Vimeo later on, see When Sam can't reach one of your tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Sam upload a video from my computer?
Not directly. Vimeo pulls the file from a link, so the video needs to be at a public link Vimeo can reach.

Will Sam delete a video without asking?
No. Deleting always stops and asks you to confirm first, because a deleted video can't be brought back.
