Connect Calendly and Sam knows what's in your diary: which calls are booked, who's coming, and which meeting types you offer. It can also make a one-off booking link for a specific person. Cancelling a call always waits for you to confirm first.
What Sam can look up in Calendly
- Your Calendly profile and your scheduling page link
- Your event types, such as a discovery call or a coaching session
- Your booked calls, filtered by date or status, and who's attending each one
What Sam can do in Calendly
- Create a single-use booking link for one of your event types, to send to a specific person
- Cancel a booked call. Calendly tells everyone invited. It can't be undone from Sam. Asks you first.
Anything marked Asks you first pauses and waits for you to confirm before it runs.
What Sam can't do in Calendly yet
- Create or edit your event types. Set those up in Calendly.
- Book a call for someone yet. Sam sends them a booking link and they pick the time.
Connect Calendly
- →A Calendly account. Sign in as the person whose calls Sam should see.
Step 1 - Open the integrations marketplace
Select Connect your tools at the bottom of the left sidebar, above your profile. Search for Calendly or find it under Browse Integrations.
Step 2 - Sign in and approve
Select Connect. Sam shows what it will be able to do, then sends you to Calendly's own sign-in page. Sign in with the account you want Sam to work in and approve the access.
Step 3 - Name it and choose who can use it
Give the connection a name, choose who on your team can use it, and select Finish setup. It moves to your Connected tab.
When you connect, you may see a screen of checkboxes, and some are easy to scroll past. Sam can only do what you allow. If you untick one, the matching actions in the list above will fail with a permission error.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will Sam cancel calls without asking?
No. Cancelling always stops and asks you to confirm first, because Calendly emails everyone on the invite as soon as it happens.
Can Sam send someone a link to book with me?
Yes. Ask Sam for a booking link for a particular meeting type and it creates a single-use link you can send, or that Sam can include in an email it writes for you.
