Connect Stripe and Sam can see what you actually sold — revenue, orders and subscriptions — so a report on your marketing is measured against money in rather than clicks. Here is how to add the connection, and what Sam can and cannot do with it.
- →A Stripe account, and access to its dashboard to copy a key
- →Permission to grant access on that account. If someone else owns it, they will need to do this step.
Step 1 - Open the integrations marketplace
Select Connect your tools at the bottom of the left sidebar, above your profile. It is there on every page, so you never have to hunt for it.
The marketplace opens on Integrations. Give it your website and it will scan for tools you already use and list them for one-tap connecting. Underneath, Browse Integrations is the full library, filterable by category.
Step 2 - Find Stripe and check how it connects
Search stripe in the marketplace and open the result. The Details table tells you how the connection is made — Stripe uses Bearer Token, which means a key you paste in rather than a sign-in redirect.
Step 3 - Paste your secret key
Select Connect. The panel that opens tells you what the key allows before you hand it over, and where to find it: your Stripe Dashboard under Developers > API keys.
Use a restricted key. Give it read access to the data you want Sam to report on. If you want Sam to create and send invoices, also give it write access to Customers, Invoices and PaymentIntents. Sam asks you to confirm before it creates or sends anything. The key is stored encrypted and you can disconnect at any time.
If you are not sure which key you are looking at, a live secret key starts sk_live_. Never paste a key into a chat message — the connection panel is the only place it belongs.
- ✓Straight away, your specialists can read your payments, customers and invoices instead of asking you to paste numbers in.
- ✓In every report, the figures come from this account rather than an estimate.
- ✓Whenever you want, you can disconnect from the same page — access stops immediately.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I connect more than one account?
Yes. Open the integration again and choose Add Another Connection. Each connection is named separately, so give them names you will recognise later.
Who on my team can use the connection?
Whatever you chose under Access when you named it — only you, everyone on the account, or specific people. You can change it afterwards from the same screen.
How do I know it actually works?
Each connection has a Test button. A connection that still needs something shows Setup Required or Pending Auth next to its name.
