Connect Kit and Sam can write to your real list: find and tag subscribers, add them to forms and sequences, and write broadcasts with the full email in, sent now or scheduled. Creating a broadcast waits for you to confirm first.
What Sam can look up in Kit
- Your account details and plan

What Sam can do in Kit
- Add new subscribers and update their details
- Add or remove tags on a subscriber
- Add a subscriber to a form or a sequence
- Write a broadcast, with the full email in, as a draft or scheduled to send. Asks you first.
Anything marked Asks you first pauses and waits for you to confirm before it runs.
What Sam can't do in Kit yet
- Build or edit your Kit sequences or automations. Sam can add people to the sequences you've built.
Connect Kit
- →A Kit account, and permission to authorise apps on it. If someone else owns the account, they will need to do this step.
Step 1 - Open the integrations marketplace
Select Connect your tools at the bottom of the left sidebar, above your profile. Search for Kit or find it under Browse Integrations.
Step 2 - Sign in and approve
Select Connect. Sam shows what it will be able to do, then sends you to Kit's own sign-in page. Sign in with the account you want Sam to work in and approve the access.
Step 3 - Name it and choose who can use it
Give the connection a name, choose who on your team can use it, and select Finish setup. It moves to your Connected tab.
When you connect, you may see a screen of checkboxes, and some are easy to scroll past. Sam can only do what you allow. If you untick one, the matching actions in the list above will fail with a permission error.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will Sam email my list without asking?
No. Creating a broadcast always stops and asks you to confirm, whether it's a draft or scheduled to send.
Can Sam add people to one of my sequences?
Yes. Tell Sam which sequence, and it adds the subscribers you name.
I used to connect ConvertKit. Is this different?
Kit is ConvertKit's new name. Use the Kit connection.
