Connect LinkedIn Business and Sam can write posts in your brand voice and publish them, with or without an image, as a LinkedIn company Page you manage.
What Sam can look up in LinkedIn Business
- The company Pages you can post for, and their names
- Your LinkedIn profile name, to label the connection
What Sam can do in LinkedIn Business
- Publish a text post as your Page. Asks you first.
- Upload an image and publish a post with it as your Page. Asks you first.
- Delete a post your Page published. It can't be undone from Sam.
Anything marked Asks you first pauses and waits for you to confirm before it runs. For a post, Sam shows you a preview of it as it will appear on LinkedIn, and nothing is published until you approve it. If you manage more than one Page, Sam asks which one to post as.
What Sam can't do in LinkedIn Business yet
- Post to your personal profile. That needs the separate LinkedIn connection: see Use LinkedIn with Sam.
- Read your Page's feed or its past posts.
- Report on how your posts performed, or on Page analytics.
- Change your Page's settings.
Connect LinkedIn Business
- →A LinkedIn account that is a Super admin or Content admin of the company Page. Other Page roles can't post.
Step 1 - Open the Marketplace
Select Connect your tools at the bottom of the sidebar to open the Marketplace. Search for LinkedIn Business or find it under Browse Integrations. Choose LinkedIn Business, not LinkedIn.
Step 2 - Sign in and approve
Select Connect. Sam shows what it will be able to do. Select Continue to LinkedIn Business and you go to LinkedIn's own sign-in page. Sign in with the account that manages your Page and approve the access.
Step 3 - Name it and choose who can use it
Give the connection a name, choose who on your team can use it, and select Finish setup. It moves to your Connected tab. Sam can now post as any Page that account manages.
LinkedIn access expires after 60 days, so Sam will ask you to reconnect from time to time.
When you connect, you may see a screen of checkboxes, and some are easy to scroll past. Sam can only do what you allow. If you untick one, the matching actions in the list above will fail with a permission error.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why did LinkedIn refuse to publish to my Page?
Your role on that Page doesn't allow posting. Ask one of the Page's Super admins to make you a Super admin or Content admin, then ask Sam to post again.
Will Sam post without asking?
Not when you ask in a conversation. Sam shows a preview of the post, and you can publish it, edit the text first, or cancel it. A post that a Sam automation publishes at a set time goes out without a preview, so check the wording when you set the automation up.
Can Sam post to my personal profile too?
Yes. Connect LinkedIn as well as LinkedIn Business. Each connection posts to its own place, and you can have both. See Use LinkedIn with Sam.
Why do I have to reconnect LinkedIn Business?
LinkedIn ends access after 60 days. Reconnect from the same integration page when Sam asks.
Can Sam post at a set time?
Yes. Ask Sam to post at the time you want and it sets up a Sam automation that publishes then. See Pause, edit, or stop any automation.
