Testimonials are the easiest social proof to use and the easiest to leave sitting in an inbox. The Social Proof / Testimonial Campaign playbook builds a whole campaign shaped around customer stories — emails, social posts, landing page copy and a follow-up sequence — and hands it to you with the quotes left blank for you to fill in.
That last part is the important part. Sam does not invent testimonials. Every customer quote comes back as a bracketed placeholder, and it tells you so.
- →Real customer quotes to drop in afterwards — reviews, replies, anything people actually wrote.
- →Your business profile filled in, so the copy sounds like you rather than generic.
- →Credits for a multi-step run. This one produces four documents, not one.
Step 1 - Open the playbook
Open a chat with the Promotions Specialist and select the Playbooks tab in the panel on the right. Playbooks bundle skills, integrations and automations into a workflow you run with one click, so you are not assembling the steps yourself.
Find Social Proof/ Testimonial Campaign under Promotions & Campaigns. The card tells you what it does and how many steps it runs — this one is 2 steps.
Step 2 - Run it
Select the card to see the steps, then Run Playbook. It works from your business profile and the products and customers Sam can already see, so it does not stop to interview you — it goes away and builds the campaign.
Step 3 - Read what came back
Sam creates a campaign to hold everything, then four documents linked to it:
- ✓Testimonial spotlight emails — a sequence built around your repeat customers and best-known products.
- ✓Case study social posts — a set of posts with hooks, bodies, visual direction and formats.
- ✓Landing page copy — a proof-led page, section by section.
- ✓A proof-stacked CTA sequence — a multi-touch plan that layers the proof across email, social and page.
Each one renders in the chat and saves to the Workbench, where you can open and edit it. Tell the specialist what to change and it redoes that piece rather than starting over.
Step 4 - Put the real quotes in
Read the documents before anything goes out. Wherever a customer would be quoted you will find [CUSTOMER NAME] and [SPECIFIC QUOTE] in brackets, and Sam says plainly that it did not invent them. Swap in real words.
It flags the same way on urgency: if a limited-time bonus would help, it says so and leaves the decision to you rather than inventing a deadline.
Use exact customer wording wherever you can. A slightly awkward real sentence reads as true; a polished one reads as marketing, which defeats the point of social proof.
Step 5 - Keep it running, or publish it
At the end Sam offers to turn the one-off into something ongoing — typically a weekly spotlight draft and a monthly recap of how the campaign performed. Both are scheduled automations, drafting for your approval on a rhythm. If you want one that fires off the back of a sale instead, see Ask happy customers for reviews on autopilot. See Pause, edit, or stop any automation.
Social posts are staged rather than published when the account is not connected, so nothing goes out by accident. Connect Instagram or Facebook and Sam can publish them directly — see Connect a tool to Sam.
The campaign itself lives under Settings → Campaigns, listing its assets and letting you archive it when it has run its course.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will it make up customer quotes?
No. Every quote is a bracketed placeholder and Sam tells you outright that it did not invent testimonials. Filling them in is your job.
Does it post anything?
Not on its own. Without a connected social account the posts are staged for you to publish by hand.
Can I run it more than once?
Yes. Each run is separate, so you can run it again and compare.
Does it use credits?
Yes, and more than a single message — one run produces four documents. Track what Sam is spending for you shows what a run actually cost.
