Connect Canva and Sam can work alongside the designs you already have: find a design or brand template, start a new design at the right size for any social platform, add images to your Canva library, and export finished work. Each of those asks you to confirm first.

What Sam can do in Canva
- Start a new blank design from a preset or custom size, such as an Instagram post, a Story or a Facebook image. Asks you first.
- Export a design as a PNG, JPG, PDF, GIF, MP4 or PowerPoint file. Asks you first.
- Upload an image or video to your Canva media library. Asks you first.
Anything marked Asks you first pauses and waits for you to confirm before it runs.
What Sam can't do in Canva yet
- Change the text, images or layout inside a Canva design, including new ones, which start blank. For finished graphics, ask Sam's Designer Specialist instead.
Connect Canva

Step 1 - Open the integrations marketplace
Select Connect your tools at the bottom of the left sidebar, above your profile. Search for Canva or find it under Browse Integrations.
Step 2 - Sign in and approve
Select Connect. Sam shows what it will be able to do, then sends you to Canva's own sign-in page. Sign in with the account you want Sam to work in and approve the access.
Step 3 - Name it and choose who can use it
Give the connection a name, choose who on your team can use it, and select Finish setup. It moves to your Connected tab.
When you connect, you may see a screen of checkboxes, and some are easy to scroll past. Sam can only do what you allow. If you untick one, the matching actions in the list above will fail with a permission error.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Sam design something for me in Canva?
Sam can set up a blank Canva design at the right size, but it can't fill it in yet. For a finished graphic, ask the Designer Specialist, which designs inside Sam.
How long does an export link last?
Canva's download link lasts 24 hours. Ask Sam again if it has expired and it will export the design afresh.
Can I connect more than one Canva account?
Yes. Open the integration again and choose Add Another Connection. Name each one so you can tell them apart.
